Do you want to help us making a difference and help promote Trauma-informed Care in our county?
Resilient Marin is a team of parents and well-established local youth advocacy professionals concerned about the impact of childhood trauma on our youth and our community. Childhood trauma occurs in many ways - abuse, neglect, parental substance use, loss of a parent, divorce, separation due to immigration, and other experiences.
We want trauma to be identified and addressed as early in a child's life as possible, increasing their chances to thrive in our community. This means educating the community, schools, health care providers, and others working with youth about signs of trauma and how to address it.
The ideal candiate has professional experience in the field of mental health, is generally interested in Trauma-Informed Care and enjoys professional networking and collaboration. The primary nature of the position includes joining local youth advocacy events and representing Resilient Marin while making new contacts.
The position requires approximately 4 hours of weekly assignments but may vary depending on monthly events. Candidate will also attend our monthly morning team meetings on zoom.
We are looking forward to have you on board and help us move towards our vision.
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn, meet interesting people and become part of the local youth advocacy landscape.
