Role Overview:

The Animal Rescue Event Coordinator plays a crucial role in organizing and executing events that support our mission of rescuing and rehoming animals. This volunteer position involves planning, promoting, and overseeing adoption events, fundraisers, and community outreach initiatives to increase awareness and engagement.

• Plan and coordinate animal rescue events, including adoption drives, fundraising activities, and awareness campaigns.

• Communicate with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure event locations, supplies, and donations.

• Develop promotional materials and strategies in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure maximum outreach.

• Manage event logistics, including volunteer coordination, scheduling, and setup/cleanup.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of animals at all events by working closely with rescue staff and foster coordinators.

• Engage with the public, providing information about the rescue organization and encouraging community participation.

• Maintain records of event participation, fundraising outcomes, and feedback to improve future events.

• Assist in post-event wrap-ups, including thanking sponsors, volunteers, and attendees.

• Passion for animal welfare and rescue initiatives.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including volunteers and community members.

• Experience in event planning or fundraising is a plus.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with potential last-minute changes.
