Do you have a certified therapy pet who loves people? If so, you could make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients. Care360 Hospice is looking for volunteers with certified therapy pets to visit and provide comfort and joy to those at the end of life. To qualify, pets must be current with their vaccinations and licensed with a recognized pet therapy organization (such as Pet Partners, Therapy Dogs International, AKC Therapy Dog Program, or Therapy Dogs Incorporated). Pet owners will also undergo our standard onboarding and training process, which includes a TB test and BCI check (provided and paid for by Care360 Hospice). If you're interested in becoming a hospice volunteer and sharing the companionship of your pet, please express your interest and submit relevant information through VolunteerMatch. Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you by email or phone during business hours to begin the onboarding process. Join us in our mission to bring comfort and support to those in need. Your presence and your pet's companionship can have a profound impact on someone's life. We look forward to welcoming you to our volunteer team!

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to Provide Total Encompassing Support for Our Patients and Families During End of Life

Description

Our goal is to achieve the best possible quality of care for patients and families. We will do everything in our power to relieve pain, control symptoms, prevent side effects and complications, and maintain the best quality of life possible.

When asked to name their greatest fear associated with death, respondents most cited "being a burden to family and friends," followed by "pain" and "lack of control." Addressing the whole range of physical and psychological needs of the patient and his or her family in an interdisciplinary way is what makes hospice care so special.
