Design on a Dime 2025

Housing Works is thrilled to announce our 20 th anniversary of Design on a Dime at the Metropolitan Pavilion from April 23rd-26th to raise critical funds to support our national campaign to end HIV/AIDS and we need your help!

The event includes the following:

· Several top NYC and International interior designers will create beautifully curated vignettes of merchandise donated from their vendors and friends.

· On Opening Night (4/24), each item is for sale at a deep discount, 50-80% off retail, while guests enjoy a cocktail party, DJ, and more.

· The event has raised over $20 million. It’s critical to raise funds and awareness to help halt the local epidemic if we hope to end AIDS nationally.

All participating volunteers will receive a Design on a Dime T-shirt and a 25% off discount coupon. One time use only. Valid during public sales of Design on a Dime (4/25 and 4/26) or at any one of our thrift shops until 5/31/2025.

Housing Works is powered by a vibrant community of volunteers who lend their time, dedication, and passion to many different roles within our non-profit organization.

By volunteering, you are directly responsible for providing funding to and advocating for New Yorkers affected by homelessness and HIV/AIDS.

Housing Works offers integrated medical, behavioral health and supportive services, and over 800 units of housing, including Housing Works-developed community residences that serve people with HIV who face specific barriers to both the housing market and retention in effective HIV care.

And if you’re looking for a way to get involved even sooner, we’d love your help at one of our Best of Spring Events coming up in March!

About Housing Works

Location:

130 Crosby Street 7th Floor, New York, NY 10012, US

Mission Statement

Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV & AIDS. Our goal is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.

Description

Housing Works is powered by a vibrant community of volunteers who lend their time, dedication, and passion to many different roles within our social enterprise department, Bookstore Cafe, and Thrift Shops.

Individuals and groups of volunteers assist our organization greatly, by coming together to better the communities that they live and work in. Housing Works is pleased to partner with corporations, universities, and community based groups, in the creation and implementation of volunteer projects that benefit homeless men and women living with HIV & AIDS. We are one of New York City’s largest and most successful support services for those in these under served communities, and becoming a part of the Housing Work’s family is an exciting way for companies to give back.

Each project challenges volunteers to develop new skills and engage new people, contributing to a greater sense of camaraderie. We welcome the opportunity to work with corporations to find volunteer opportunities that meet their needs and priorities. Volunteering with Housing Works is a great way for companies to engage employees while demonstrating their commitment to the fight against homelessness and AIDS, and the improvement of the lives of all at-risk New Yorkers.
