The Atlantic Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to bring the highest level of symphonic orchestral music to the Southshore of Boston through exceptional performances, innovative educational programs, and a commitment to integrating the arts into the life of the community. The ASO also serves to encourage the development of superb orchestral musicians, by providing a wide range of performance opportunities within a challenging but nurturing musical environment.

We are seeking volunteers who share our vision to join our 15 member Board of Directors. The board holds overall governance and financial oversight responsibility for the organization. Board members participate in bimonthly meetings, serve on volunteer committees, attend symphony performances and engage their community in support of the orchestra.
