Attack Poverty | Friends of North Richmond is starting an affordable and accessible soccer league for children in our community. This league is open to 1st through 5th grade boys and girls of all experience levels. The league will start March 25th: the first two weeks will focus on skills training followed by four weeks of real game play.

Our volunteers will help players develop their soccer skills; encourage confidence, fun and positive sportsmanship; and build mentoring relationships.

  • Volunteer Head Coaches must be ages 18+, while Assistants and Referees may be ages 16+.
  • *Any volunteers age 18+ are required to have a background check before volunteering.
  • Prior soccer experience is desired but more than anything, a love for kids and cultivating a positive team and coaching environment.
  • Coaches and/or Assistants will lead a brief lesson each week with their team, focused on character development and a short devotion. This curriculum will be provided to you.
