Friendly Visiting/Activities with Seniors - Yee Hong

ORGANIZATION: Momiji Health Care Society

Our community of Japanese & Japanese- Canadian seniors need your support! Help us support our seniors in Long Term Care at Yee Hong Centre. We need your support for singing activities, craft classes, friendly visiting and pushing wheelchairs. (Must go through LTC volunteer registration process)

Help is needed three days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10AM until 3:00PM with lunch included. English OR Japanese speaking volunteers needed.

Description

Ever since Momiji was founded by volunteers in 1978, volunteers have been central to our success. Each year, hundreds of volunteers generously give thousands of hours of their time. You too can make a real difference in seniors’ lives, and give back to the community. Another benefit is that you will learn about Japanese Canadian history and culture and connect with people of diverse ages from all walks of life!
