Help us as we build one of the largest food forest projects on Earth. We will be planting trees and building out our retreat center.
It is important to us that our volunteers have an incredible experience. Here are some of the things you can get involved in at The REED Center:
Sampling exotic and indigenous foods
Learning how to use interesting tools, build a variety of structures, and care for infrastructure
Learning as many aspects of the design, implementation, and care of permaculture systems as they want
Learning unique skills like mushroom log production, grafting, plant propagation, foraging, and cooking and processing foods and teas
- Connecting with like-minded people who want to heal humanity's relationship with nature
Joining community pot-luck meals, camping, and self care opportunities
Joining events like our Films in the Forest and Indigenous Food Summit
- Getting some free plants to take home

The REED Center is a Maryland-based nonprofit that seeks to repair the holistic connection of humans and their environment through research, engaging communities in farm programming, developing self-perpetuating ecosystems, and designing natural landscapes on residential and commercial scales.
We currently are developing food forests in multiple locations and would love your help in developing them to become an amazing resource for the communities that they serve.
