Assist FSA staff with meal preparation and portioning of food. Use protective barriers such as gloves, apron and proper hair covering. Adhere to all food safety guidelines. Assist with wrapping, date-labeling, storing and rotating food items. Perform cleaning of counters and equipment in the kitchen area. Assist with receiving, storage, and inventory of food and supplies.
Must have, or obtain within 2 weeks (through FSA), a current food handler's card. Must have good communications skills and the ability to follow directions. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 15-20lbs. Maintain good personal hygiene.

Since 1953, Family Service Association has served communities in Southern California with a variety of human service programs including: Child Development, Child Abuse Prevention, Trauma Informed Counseling, Senior and Community Centers, Senior Housing, and Senior Nutrition. Family Service is a not-for-profit social service organization dedicated to meeting the changing needs of families and communities in Riverside County and San Bernardino County regardless of income, ethnicity, gender or socio-economic status. We envision a day when Inland Empire communities have strong families without poverty, hunger or health disparities.
