The thrill of competition shouldn’t come at the cost of the planet we love. Help us make the 2025 Special Olympics NC Summer Games a greener, more sustainable event-because champions deserve a cleaner world to compete and grow in!
What You’ll Do:- Brainstorm and implement creative ways to reduce waste, recycle, and reuse
- Partner with NC State to promote eco-friendly practices at event venues
- Work hands-on with volunteers to keep the event as green as possible
- Kickoff Call: March 6, 2025
- Up to one day a week leading up to the Games for planning and logistics
- Possible venue visits at NC State and surrounding locations
- Event Weekend: May 30 - June 1, 2025
This is your chance to make a lasting impact-not only on the athletes but also on the environment. Whether you’re a sustainability pro or just passionate about going green, we need you to help make these Games a gold-medal event for the planet as well as the athletes!
