Campsite Cleaners will review Recreation.gov website to identify campsites scheduled to be vacated that day and will proceed to inspect, clean, and prepare the site for incoming campers. Trash will be collected from the immediate area and taken to dumpster. Surplus of ashes will be scooped from fire ring and taken to dump point. Rocks and leaves will be swept/blown from concrete parking and living pads. Any damage to facilities will be documented and reported to Ranger staff. Additional cleanup may be required in community day-use areas and group shelters.
Work schedule requires volunteers to work five consecutive days followed by two consecutive days off. Full hookup campsite provided for volunteer while filling position. Volunteer must provide their own RV/camper for housing as well as a vehicle or UTV/ATV/golf cart capable of hauling trash, ash buckets, etc., during rounds.
