Volunteer drivers make it possible for individuals 60 years of age or older to connect with their communities and travel to life sustaining medical appointments by utilizing their own insured vehicles to provide rides.
We provide mileage reimbursement at 70 cents a mile, supplemental auto coverage, and provide a free meal on rides.

Description
The Non Metro New Mexico Area Agency on Aging has operated since 1974 through its sponsoring organization, the North Central New Mexico Economic Development District.
In partnership with service providers, Non Metro NM AAA oversees comprehensive service delivery of community and home-based services in 32 of New Mexico’s 33 counties. We provide home delivered meals, respite care, day care, congregate meals, case management, home repair, and transportation for Seniors.

- Orientation or Training
- Volunteer on your time. There is no minimum requirement for engagement. Give one senior a ride a month or do ten rides a month. The time you give is up to you!
- Must have access to a vehicle that is roadworthy. Possess current auto insurance that meets the state minimum requirements. Be in good physical and mental health to safely operate a vehicle. Possess the ability to interact with diverse populations.
