Museum Guide
ORGANIZATION: YAKIMA VALLEY MUSEUM & HIST ASSN
Please visit the new page to apply.

Museum Guides will be trained to lead tours for scheduled groups of visitors, including our K-12 school age field trips. A standard tour will be provided, but those volunteers who may be interested can develop their own tour with staff guidance. These tours provide engaging experiences for diverse audiences including school groups and adults. Your passion for history and effective communication skills will contribute to the museum's efforts to provide high quality, engaging, accurate, and educational cultural and natural history programs.
Guides must enjoy public speaking, be friendly and contribute to providing a welcoming environment for all our visitors.
Volunteer shifts will be dependent on scheduled tour times, while the Museum is open. A typical tour is generally 45 minutes to one hour. Shifts could include more than one tour, depending on availability and interest.
