Veteran volunteers are needed to visit patients who are veterans themselves. You can help a fellow veteran facing a life limiting illness with companionship. Activites with a patient may include conversation, reading, music, life review pet visits or sitting with a patient while a caregiver runs an errand. Hospice volunteers can give 1-4 hours a month working around your schedule. Serving hospice can be meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone involved. If you have compassion and a serving heart, please consider making a difference in a veterans life.
