Awakening Grace is looking for some volunteer seamstresses that are skilled or are a professional seamstress.
Awakening Grace is a nonprofit organization that helps families of pregnancy and infancy loss. We started in 2015 and have grown drastically; we serve families nationwide. We help families by offering them peer support, online support groups, sending care packages, helping financially for funerals, etc.
Each care package that we send has a memorial bear. The memorial bears are such a beautiful way to honor their baby and have something tangible to hold.
We currently rely on volunteers as we are trying to grow financially. We want to ensure that we are always able to provide financially for families and do not wish to take any of that away. We are hoping that our seamstresses volunteer their time and talent, and we supply all supplies.
Is this something you're further interested in? The pattern is 23 pieces but is SO BEAUTIFUL when completed. We are hoping volunteer seamstresses are able to do about 4-10 bears a month, if possible. We know some months you may be able to make 6 bears and other months you may need time to do other projects, and that's ok! We are looking for some consistency and communication as to what your availability is. Please let us know if you are interested.

Awakening Grace is here to encourage families during the loss of a child during pregnancy and infancy to grieve bravely, heal gently, and remember boldly.
Description
Awakening Grace provides care packages during or after their loss at any time. These care packages include comfort and memorial items as a small token of remembrance and love from our family to theirs. Burial garments can also be chosen from items kept on hand or may be custom made at the time of the loss. These garments are for babies of any gestation or age, including during pregnancy from 0-12 weeks, 12-20 weeks, 20-42 weeks, and after birth, 0-12 months.
Awakening Grace also provides families with support finding resources in their community for funeral expenses if needed, support groups (both online and in person), and information about a woman’s options during a miscarriage. Lastly, Awakening Grace provides photography services for pregnancy loss of any gestation.
