Trail Maintenance Division -
Crews work from May-Oct. They have a strong focus on backcountry trail clearing using manual crosscut saws and front country dry stone masonry. They also work with chainsaws, medium sized construction equipment, rigging gear, and a variety of other tasks required for maintaining trails and trail structures. Typical hiking for backcountry work ranges from 10-20 miles daily while clearing back country trails. Crew size ranges from 6-15 people with a mix of NPS seasonals, interns, youth corps, and volunteers.
Specific training will be provided by NPS personnel.
Housing should be available and will be provided by Crater Lake. If you have pets or family then your options become more limited.
