Chamizal National Memorial is home to one of the only full-scale performance theaters in the National Park System! Our recently remodeled theater--complete with new dressing rooms, seating, and cutting-edge A/V technology--is ready to shine, and we need passionate volunteers to help make that happen.
As a Theater Assistant , you’ll get hands-on experience in all aspects of theater production, including:
Assisting with performances and engaging with audiences
Set design and stage management
Lights, sound, and A/V technology
Community outreach and event support
This is an incredible opportunity for anyone interested in theater, whether you’re looking to gain experience, build professional skills, or just be part of a thriving arts community. Plus, volunteering comes with great benefits, including:
✅ Professional development in theater production and A/V tech
✅ Networking with artists and performers from the borderlands region
✅ National Park Service volunteer experience (and a free Annual Pass after 250 hours!)
✅ Volunteer hours for students
Flexible commitment! Whether you can give a few hours a week or want to dive in full-time, we welcome your help. No prior experience needed--just a love for theater and a willingness to learn!
