Commitment: Part-Time (Monthly Meetings + Additional Responsibilities as Needed)
PeaceatWorkPlace is a mission-driven organization dedicated to fostering peace, inclusivity, and conflict resolution in workplaces. Through innovative programs, advocacy, and training, we empower organizations to create harmonious work environments where employees thrive. We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our Board of Directors, with a specific focus on Human Resources (HR) expertise to support organizational growth and workplace well-being.
Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a Board Member specializing in HR, you will play a crucial role in shaping workplace policies, enhancing employee relations, and promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
HR Strategy & Policy Development: Provide guidance on HR best practices, including employee well-being, workplace conflict resolution, and talent development.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Support initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.
Advisory Role: Offer strategic input on workforce planning, leadership development, and employee engagement strategies.
Board Participation: Attend monthly board meetings, participate in committee work, and contribute to governance decisions.
Networking & Advocacy: Represent the organization at HR-related events, industry conferences, and partnership meetings.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure HR policies comply with legal regulations and support the organization's overall mission and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven experience in Human Resources, workplace relations, talent management, or organizational development.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and DEI best practices.
Passion for workplace peacebuilding, employee engagement, executive coaching and conflict resolution.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Previous board or nonprofit leadership experience is a plus.
Serve a term of 2 years (with renewal opportunities).
Contribute expertise and actively support the organization’s HR and workplace culture goals.
Participate in at least monthly meetings, or outreach activities annually.
Be part of a dynamic team dedicated to promoting peace and positive workplace cultures.
Utilize your HR expertise to make a lasting impact on workplace environments and employee well-being.
Expand your network and collaborate with like-minded professionals committed to social good.

We also offer free 1-1 coaching to employees and undertake any educational opportunities for workplace peace. Our goal is to help small to mid-sized businesses optimize employee engagement, maximize organizational productivity.
Description
At Peace@WorkPlace coaches will work with employees one-on-one listening to the crisis issues at work. As a coach you will provide a step-by-step approach on how to approach your problem. Employees can setup an appointment with any of the available coaches using calendly. As a coach you will go through in-depth training on how to guide you and help people in work place crisis situations.
