Like miltary service, hospice care is a team effort. You're invited to join our team!
We pair veteran hospice patients with veteran volunteers. Since they share many common military experences, our volunteers have a unique ability to relate and connect with fellow veterans - providingpatient with the compassionate support and service they have earned and deserve.
We are end-of-life care experts and proud partners of the "We Honor Veterans" program. Our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program provides volunteers with the training needed to support military service veterans and their families with in-home hospice care.
Veteran volunteers help provide both direct and indirect patient support. Examples include: Sitting, reminiscing, or reading to patient Light house or yard work Writting Letters Dog walking Watching television/sports or luistening to music Assistance in replacing lost miltary awards. Taking part in veteran reconition ceremonies Providing checking-in calls
