Are you fluent in Arabic and live in the Austin area? We are in need of a Volunteer (prefer female) to visit with an elderly Hospice patient in her family's home in south Austin.
My goal is always to get a Volunteer going as fast as possible. As a result, you and I will set up your orientation that fits into your schedule right away!
Who are patients are: individuals with a life expectancy of 6 months or less given the Hospice diagnosis takes its' natural progress. And their loved ones.
Our Volunteers:
- come from diverse backgrounds. This includes walks of life, age, lifestyle, thoughts, careers, religious or spiritual beliefs
- choose how often and where they want to volunteer
- do not need any medical experience
- do not provide any direct medical care such as bathing, feeding, transferring.
How our Volunteers fit in: Volunteer are "friendly visitors" who go in without an agenda and visit or provide a care giver with a break.
