This remote volunteer role offers you the opportunity to use your talents in writing and research to support animals in need, while building meaningful relationships with our funding partners.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify Funding Opportunities: Research and identify potential trusts and foundations to approach for funding, with a focus on finding the best matches for ROLDA’s mission and needs.
• Craft Impactful Proposals: Write and submit compelling, accurate grant applications of varying sizes to help generate a consistent income stream that fuels our projects and programs.
• Build Strong Funder Relationships: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing grant makers while building new ones, ensuring they see the true impact of their contributions.
• Report & Showcase Impact: Produce timely, accurate reports and impact summaries to showcase our work, fulfilling grant requirements and keeping funders engaged.
• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with our team to gather data, stories, and other materials to support applications and meet funder needs, including brand visibility where required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in preparing and submitting successful grant applications for nonprofits.
• Knowledge of the grant funding landscape, particularly within animal welfare, and understanding of trusts and foundations’ requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and track an income pipeline.
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work well with team members and board members.
