April 1-6, 2025 for our More Fun at 51 annual SUN 'n FUN Fly-In on the SUN 'n FUN Campus in Lakeland, Florida. Come volunteer at one of the world's largest airshow with 3,000+ other volunteers.
We would like to offer your group a donation for volunteering in an area of high need for many volunteers during our event (parking, security or admissions) in exchange for a donation.
Our mission to Engage! Educate! And Accelerate! the next generation of Aerospace Professionals. We do that in multiple ways: supporting our on-site public STEM and aviation focused high school on campus, scholarships to those pursuing aviation professions, field trips to every fifth-grade class in the county, STEM & aviation themed summer camps, collaborating in the creation of a nationally available STEM/Aviation curriculum for middle schools and with many free to the community kids STEM/Aviation themed events. We are a 503c Not-For-Profit company celebrating our 51st year in service.
A Community Volunteer Partnership Proposal
Purpose: Partner with groups seeking fund raising in exchange for volunteering
Event: SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo, Lakeland, Florida
Date: April 1-6, 2025
It is strongly recommended to schedule more than the minimum number of volunteers as inevitably some cannot attend once signed up. Volunteer groups will be responsible for scheduling their own volunteers, templates are available on request. All volunteers from your group will need to be volunteering in the same area. For instance, all in your group will be volunteering in parking OR admissions, but not in both areas. Volunteers in your group will be placed in proximity to each other if requested.
Once you and your group have made the decision which option works best, share only that application link to eliminate any chance of errors.

Mission Statement
SUN 'n FUN's mission is to Engage! Educate! & Accelerate! the next generation of Aerospace Professionals.
Description
We are heading into a massive shortage of all professions related to anything aviation. We are helping to fill that gap through scholarships for private pilots, supporting the Polk County Public High School Central Florida Aerospace Academy and its five aviation tracks, providing every fifth grade class in Polk County a field trip through our Florida Air Museum and our STEM SkyLabs as well as collaborating with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) to create a middle school STEM and aviation curriculum offered throughout the country.
We do this through our primary fund raiser, our annual Fly-In SUN 'n FUN each spring and multiple other local evens throughout the year. These events are possible with the help of volunteers. Last year we needed 3,700 volunteers just for the Fly-In! There is room for you!
