**Volunteer Opportunity at Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument**
Join our team at the Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument, where you can make a meaningful impact while sharing the monument’s rich with visitors from all walks of life! As a volunteer at our visitor center information desk, you'll play a vital role in welcoming guests, providing them with accurate information about the park and its resources, and facilitating our engaging Junior Ranger Program. You'll also conduct sales of our cooperating association materials and have the option of taking part in park special events both on and off site. Your efforts will help ensure that every visitor leaves with a deeper appreciation of Brigadier General Charles Young and the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers.
We’re looking for friendly and reliable volunteers who enjoy working with the public and are eager to learn. You don't need prior experience--just a passion for history and a commitment to providing exceptional service! Training will be provided, covering everything from park policies to effective communication strategies. In return for your hard work, you’ll receive a volunteer uniform, opportunities for recognition, and qualify for an America the Beautiful Volunteer Pass after completing 250 hours of service within a year. Come be a part of our dedicated team, help enhance visitor experiences and contribute to preserving the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers!
Volunteers are needed weekly, Wednesday through Sunday. A minimum of serving one three-hour shift weekly is preferred, but schedules are negotiable.
