Atlantic City and Big Atlantic Gulch Campgrounds are first-come, first-serve sites with picnic tables, fire rings, water hydrants, trash service, and vault toilets.
Hosts volunteer five days a week, running from a week before Memorial Day through mid October. The schedule is tailored to address high use periods, and therefore includes weekends and holidays. Two days off occur mid-week. Hosts must provide their own RV or camp trailer in which to live onsite. A host site will be provided with sewer, power, and water hookup. We are looking for either an individual or a couple for this opportunity.
Campground hosts will need to work independently with little or no supervision. Work will be entirely outdoors. The campground and surrounding area will see variable weather conditions throughout the season, including lows in the 30s or 40s, sporadic rain or snow. High temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Work will be done at a high elevation. Bathroom cleaning and trash cleaning is contracted and are not part of the hosts regular duties. A daily reimbursement for days worked will be given at $30.00 a day.

Mission Statement
The Bureau of Land Management's mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
Description
The BLM manages 245 million acres of public lands and 700 million acres of mineral estate. These public lands and subsurface acres are integral to the lives and livelihoods of communities and families across the country. We promote multiple-use on public lands to maximize opportunities for commercial, recreational, and conservation activities. This promotes healthy and productive public lands that create jobs in local communities while supporting traditional land uses such as responsible energy development, timber harvesting, grazing, and recreation, including hunting and fishing.
