2025 Campground Host - New Meadows Ranger District
ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Payette National Forest is seeking campground hosts for campgrounds on the McCall and New Meadows Ranger Districts. Volunteer campground hosts are our front-line representatives for the United States Forest Service. Few Forest Service employees have as much direct daily contact with members of the public as a volunteer campground host. This service is greatly appreciated by the agency and by the visiting public. We rely on our hosts to be courteous and friendly to forest visitors and provide information about rules and regulations and recreation opportunities.
Hosting opportunities on the New Meadows Ranger District is available at Cold Springs Campground. This popular campground is located approximately 3/4 mile from Lost Valley Reservoir. Lost Valley Reservoir is a popular site for motor boating and fishing.
Camp host volunteer positions at Burgdorf Campground, Grouse Campground, and Upper Payette Lake Campgrounds are filled for 2025. Campground host applications are accepted as for as long as positions are vacant. Applications are typically reviewed in March and April, with hosts selected in April.
