Become an In-Person Tutor for MD Homeschool Students

Howard County Homeschooling Cooperative (HCHC) and Frederick County Homeschooling Cooperative (FCHC) provide small group tutoring and other services to homeschoolers in Central America. Since 2013, we have supported thousands of families who homeschool.

HCHC needs Math, Science, ASL, and Social Studies tutors starting March 4th, 2025! Tutors are needed a minimum of 1X a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays) in person for 3 hours over 8 weeks, from March 4th to May 29th.

WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays in person from 10:00 am to 2:0 pm, starting March 4th and ending May 29th.

WHERE: Mary's Land Fam at 4979A Sheppard Ln, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Parking is available.

WHEN: Wednesdays in person from 10:00 am to 2:0 pm, starting April 16th and ending May 28th.

WHERE: Trinity United Methodist Church at 705 W. Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701. Parking is available.

Help our students gain basic and important life skills in a relaxed and nature-based environment.

HCHC tutors come from all walks of life and range in age from college students to retirees. All tutor must meet these basic requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to pass a background check
