The Heartworm Team handles all vetting for dogs with heartworm disease. The team instructs our fosters on care for heartworm positive dogs as needed. Coordinate making appointments with foster/adopter and partner Vets via email and phone. Log all appointments and coordinate with foster and adopter, if applicable.
Must be computer savvy with some level of understanding of heartworm preventatives, patience and willingness to learn about heartworm disease and treatment - training provided.
Check Heartworm Team emails daily. Check on assigned fosters while dogs are actively going through treatment.

We operate through a network of volunteers and foster homes in the metro Atlanta area.
