ORGANIZATION: A Kid Again

We are Seeking: Motivated college students for an internship offering college credit. Gain hands-on experience, develop valuable skills, and build your resume while contributing to meaningful projects. Ideal candidates are proactive and ready to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.

Position Overview : The Grant Writing Intern will work closely with the program and development teams to research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding. This position provides hands-on experience in nonprofit grant writing and funding development.

Location: Remote

Time Frame: Opportunites beginning March 1, 2025 - December 1, 2025.

Responsibilities :

  • Research potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission.
  • Prepare and edit grant proposals and letters of intent.
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions.
  • Track the status of grant applications and maintain a database of grant opportunities.
  • Contribute to reports for funders detailing the outcomes of funded projects.

Qualifications :

  • Current student in English, Journalism, Public Administration, or Nonprofit Studies.
  • Strong communication, writing and research skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with grant writing or nonprofit funding is preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Over the last 28 years, A Kid Again has provided consistent, cost-free, year-round Adventures for children with life-threatening conditions, and their families. These group activities are designed to take their minds off their daily challenges while creating happy memories.

Our vision is for every child in America with a life-threatening condition to be A Kid Again. We have continued to reach families across the United States, A Kid Again has families in 50 states and 7 chapters. We are looking for Adventure Guides (our fancy term for volunteers) in our new areas.
