The National STEM Society, designs, develops, and delivers the most delightful entertaining educational experiences imaginable for women and children. Our Administration, Marketing, and Events teams support our national projects by providing the people, resources, tools, and information needed to create extraordinary SPARK STEM experiences. We believe in educating, initiating, and innovating young lives today for tomorrow's social response to increasing statistics for our youth, girls, and women in STEM careers and fields.

Safety first, people inclusivity, innovation, and creativity are core values of our nonprofit organization, and why these core values exist in everything we do.

Volunteers, creative minds, and administrative support are always needed to help our teams at every step in the creative process of expanding existing programs and developing new innovative programs.

What is a SPARK STEM Chapter?

A SPARK STEM Chapter is a group of people passionate about STEM/STEAM education organized to launch programs, workshops, and events throughout different states across America. We lead with the bible principle "Two are better than one." Ecclesiastes 4:9

The foundation of the National STEM Society was built by a bible school teacher who's faithful service to help others in need through her education and elevated practices in bible principles, character, caregiver at home and church, and creativity to show neighborhood kids how fun math and science could be if they applied themselves at home, at church, and in their local community.

Join us in building a Central Florida chapter where volunteers will meet, network, and have fun organizing local activities or events. All volunteers will team up in two or more groups to kick off activities for schools, communities, community centers, church youth groups, and children's charities where supportive volunteers are needed.

All volunteers over the age of 16 and above will be required to complete a criminal background check.

A background screening is required for all volunteers. We value the volunteers, students, parents, schools, and communities we serve. During the selection process, all confirmed volunteers must complete a child sexual abuse awareness training, reference checks (for specific volunteer roles), and a background check for on-site, in-person events and program volunteer opportunities.

Through our partnership with NCSI, the National Center for Safety Initiatives will perform each comprehensive background check (a nationwide county criminal search, federal, and two sex offenders registry searches) for $35.
We ask all volunteers, staff members, and partners over the age of 16 to contribute a $20 donation toward their background check at https://nationalstemsociety.org/how-do-i-donate/ From the website, enter a custom amount, and click donate. The National STEM Society will cover the remaining cost of $15 through sponsorship funding.

Submitting a volunteer application or inquiry does not guarantee placement as a volunteer. Candidates will be accepted on the event or program needs matched with the candidates’ qualifications to meet those requirements as determined during the selection process. Incomplete volunteer applications will not be considered for review. If a suitable volunteer opportunity is available when we receive your submission, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator or other staff members.
