· Opportunity Description :

The following is a general description of the duties that are done by the Park Host Volunteers:

The Schedule for this position will be 5 days on duty and 10 days off duty. 96 hours of Volunteering a month is required for each volunteer or volunteer couple.

· Each morning Check the Daily Arrival Report (DAR) or R1S to see which campers are due to check in/out at 2:00 pm.

· Check in/ out campers throughout the day and assist with anything the campers might need

· Make your rounds throughout the day to check on the park and park visitors. Educate Park visitors about the rules and regulations of the park.

· Visually verify vehicles at the boat ramp for access passes, or that have paid via QR Code. (This will be done via I-pad)

· Maintain Restroom Cleanliness on all days opposing the cleaning Contractor

· Check all restrooms for cleanliness and clean as necessary before 10:00 am.

· Again at 3:00 pm, and once more at 7:00 pm

· Check all grounds and pick up all trash/litter before 12:00 noon

· Weekly: Monitor water meter and record in logbook. Inform USACE if there is a sudden spike in the meter readings from the previous week.

· Perform as needed: Perform minor RV electrical pedestal repairs, unclog toilets, repair facilities, dig up and repair water leaks, clean screen shelters/camp sites i.e. BBQ pits/fire rings and replace toilet paper as needed.

· Be prepared to work on projects in the park with the other park hosts. Positive communication required with other volunteers and USACE employees.

· Fill out a Volunteer Daily Work Log and email a copy at the beginning of each month to the Volunteer Coordinator.

· Fill out required paperwork as needed.

· Stillhouse Hollow Lake is looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 6 months of volunteer work. Stillhouse Lake prefers someone who would like to volunteer for 1 - 2 years.


Provided lodging: RV / Trailer pad with water and electric hookup. The volunteer must provide their own RV. There is no sewer hookup at the park host site. There is a dump station for you to use in the campground.
