Do you want to use your skills to help survivors of abuse and exploitation. We need you!

Operation Safe Escape is seeking a talented mobile application developer with experience or a keen interest in creating and deploying apps for both iOS and Android platforms. As a key member of our development team, you will lead the design and implementation of user-friendly interfaces and robust backend processes that empower our clients while safeguarding their data.

WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE

Collaborate with product owners and designers to develop cross-plaform applications using frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.

Research and implement on-device encryption and security mechanisms to ensure the privacy of user data.

Lead the technical process for deploying apps to the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and requirements.

Participate in regular monitoring, maintenance, and updates of the app as required by Apple and Google.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Self-motivated individuals eager to share or enhance their expertise in mobile app development while contributing to social good.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar and structure.

Flexible availability to join one or more recurring weekly standup meetings.

About Operation Safe Escape

Operation Safe Escape (OSE) was created in 2016 as a small component of another security-themed nonprofit organization called OSPA. Over time, the anti-domestic violence mission of OSPA grew to become the organization's sole purpose and we reformed as OSE. Since that time, we've helped nearly 4,000 people escape abusive relationships and other dangerous situations, and helped train and support safe houses and shelters all over the world. Operation Safe Escape exists to help survivors of domestic violence, stalking and harassment, and human trafficking escape and stay safe after they do. We work directly with survivors and their support systems, allied advocacy groups and the security community, shelters and safe houses, and more to provide a unified approach to survivor safety.
