About Access Builds Children
Location:
PO Box 1504, Conroe, TX 77305, US
Mission Statement
ABC supports non-violence and strengthens families by facilitating monitored access with a focus on fostering the parent-child relationship through collaboration, communication and education.
Description
ABC currently provides an opportunity for children to have access to their non-residential parent and/or grandparent by facilitating supervised visitation and/or safe exchange.
This critical service also allows suvivors (and their family) of domestic violence an avenue to move forward with dignity while preventing continued re-victimization during the visitation and/or exchange process.
Research has found that both parents are vital to a child's growth and development, and the child doesn't understand the separation.
Supervised centers allow the child and parents to meet on neutral, safe grounds and enable the continuation of the relationship.
