We are seeking a passionate and committed Faith-Based Community Engagement
Coordinator to connect the faith-based community with the mission of TGCN. This volunteer
ministry role is an opportunity to minister beyond the four walls of the church, embrace impactful
work, and raise awareness about the issues grandparents face while caring for their
grandchildren. Perfect opportunity for retired pastor, evangelist or missions driven person.

Responsibilities:
1. Faith-Based Outreach:
o Build and nurture relationships with faith-based organizations, congregations,
and ministries.
o Visit churches and other faith-based groups to share the mission of TGCN and
invite partnership.
o Be a spokesperson and representative for The Grandparents Community
Network.
2. Community Awareness and Advocacy:
o Raise awareness of the challenges faced by grandparents raising grandchildren,
widows, and orphans.
o Develop and deliver impactful presentations to congregations and faith-based
groups.
3. Engagement with Youth and Families:
o Work with youth and family ministries to foster understanding and involvement in
TGCN’s initiatives.
o Coordinate events and programs that connect congregations to the mission.


4. Spiritual Leadership:
o Maintain a strong personal prayer life and spiritual foundation to guide your
ministry efforts.
o Be a source of encouragement and inspiration, promoting faith-driven solutions
for families in need.
5. Organizational Contributions:
o Support the creation of materials and programs to engage the faith-based
community effectively.
o Assist in organizing events, campaigns, and collaborative projects that further
TGCN’s mission.
6. Integrity and Accountability:
o Uphold the highest standards of integrity and stewardship in all interactions and
responsibilities.
Qualifications:
* A heart for serving widows, orphans, and families in need.
* A strong and stable in your faith, with a commitment to prayer and spiritual growth.
* Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills.
* Be teachable. Accept opportunities to grow and develop. Team player who helps to
strengthen internal communication in the company.
* Proven ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of people, including youth and
congregations.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
* A reputation for integrity, accountability, and follow-through.
* Good conflict resolution.

Mission Statement

The Grandparents Community Network’s current goal is to provide basic needs, special needs, transitional emergencies and non-traditional circumstances that are not met by community resources or state and federal dollars. We also aspire to provide scholarships for education. We mobilize the collective action of the community sectors to address existing issues, create vital resources, advocate for policies on the local, state and federal level that address the unique needs of grandparents and their families.

Description

We have assisted grandparents in various states with utility assistance, prescriptions, clothing, back to school supplies, car payment assistance and repairs, gasoline, emotional support, crisis intervention and other various nontraditional needs. We currently receive funding from the Founder’s fundraising efforts and personal contributions. Our staff are current volunteers. Our organizational structural consists of 5 board members including the Founder who governs the day-to-day operations and, 1 administrative assistant two volunteer support roles. Our programs consist of mentoring, grandparents' assistance, grief coaching, administrative, radio broadcasting, website design, arts and culture, event planning, workshops and training,
