Join us for our monthly volunteer events with 500 North Duncan Street Garden! This garden is a beautiful oasis in the midst of blocks of vacant housing and an environment dominated by concrete. It is cared for by many of the elders in the community, feeds the neighbors, and serves as an educational space for young people. Mission Statement
BMORE Beautiful is a grassroots peer-to-peer beautification program. The goal of the program is to not only change behaviors and attitudes towards the beautification of the City, but to also encourage residents, businesses, and organizations to become directly involved in activities and projects that will keep their neighborhoods clean.
Description
We work closely with neighborhoods on their unique beautification projects and cleanliness challenges, as well as provide educational literature, outreach materials, and other resources that residents can use to Keep BMORE Beautiful. There are six elements essential to our approach: community organizing, seasonal community champions summits, community improvement projects, troubleshooting, communication, and education.
