Volunteering can look like:
- Attending the monthly action team meeting either in person or on Zoom
- Contributing ideas over email
- Advocating for people living with dementia and their care partners
- Participating in one or more of our subcommittees:
- Businesses - Current project: Rolling out a dementia certification program to local organizations
- Community Spaces - Current project: Developing a list of dementia-friendly activities in our area and to build relationships with local museums, libraries, theaters, etc.
- Faith Communities - Current project: Reaching out to provide Dementia Friends sessions and other resources to local faith communities
- Medical Professionals - Current project: Compiling a packet of materials for people who were recently diagnosed with dementia
- Transportation - Current project: Developing a list of tips for traveling
