ORGANIZATION: Brighton Hospice

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve your community and have fun while doing so? Brighton Hospice is seeking volunteers to assist our team with administrative tasks such as: building admission folders and facility binders, assisting with donation deliveries, answering phones, filing paperwork, assisting with patient and family mailings, data entry, and other office-based activities that support direct patient care.

Brighton Hospice services patients throughout the metro in their homes and facilities. We have offices in Leawood, KS and Independence, MO.

Description

Brighton Hospice was founded in 2011 by Erin Bennett and Thomas Godfrey. When their paths converged In 2008, they had both already acquired vast amounts of healthcare experience working for large and small hospice companies. Both founders had an entrepreneurial spirit, knew they could raise the standard of patient care, and create a rewarding work environment to attract the best caregivers in the industry.

The goal of hospice care is to improve the quality of a patient’s last months by offering comfort, dignity, and care wherever the patient resides.
Brighton Hospice recognizes that the dying process is a part of the normal process of living and focuses on enhancing the quality of remaining life. Our team of physicians, nurse case managers, aides, social workers, chaplains, dietitians, therapists, volunteers, bereavement specialists, and administrative staff will provide you and your family with the quality care you deserve.
