Assist with calling patients to let them know their referrals have been received in medical oncology and the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital. Help to decrease the amount of time patients are waiting to be notified of their upcoming new patient appointments and help to enrich their patient experience.
Primary requirements will be placing phone calls to patients, requesting documentation from other offices regarding patients referred to assist current staff.
Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm
Must have knowledge and adherence to hospital policies concerning confidentiality, in relation to patients, physicians and other staff. On the job training will be offered. This is an in-person volunteer assignment.
