Position Overview:
The Strategic Event Planning Lead is a key volunteer role focused on planning, developing, and executing fundraising events for FOHA. This volunteer will work closely with the FOHA leadership team to design events that align with organizational goals, raise necessary funds, and engage the community. The Strategic Event Planning Lead will also generate new event ideas and ensure all events are strategically planned to meet fundraising targets.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with FOHA leadership to identify fundraising goals and select events that will help achieve these goals.
- Develop event concepts, themes, and formats based on FOHA’s mission and donor base.
- Define the purpose and objectives of each event and communicate them clearly to all team members.
- Research and suggest new event ideas that could drive engagement and increase donations.
- Create and manage event timelines, setting key milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate with other volunteers and staff to ensure successful execution of events.
- Evaluate the success of past events and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Help create marketing and promotional materials to support event awareness and participation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising trends and community interests to guide event planning.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Creativity and an ability to generate new ideas for fundraising events.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for animal welfare and the mission of FOHA.
Time Commitment:
- Approximately 2-10 hours per week, with increased hours during event planning and execution phases.
