The Society is a non-profit agency that partners with individuals with disabilities to live their best lives. Our vision is that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are welcomed as active and valued members of their communities.

We are currently looking for volunteers who want to cook or bake with our individuals. Who doesn't love food? Our individuals love to bake and help out in the kitchen and would love to help you!

This volunteer opportunity would be suitable for an individual or group and could be a one-time visit or ongoing visits (weekly, monthly, quarterly). The volunteer(s) are expected to have their own transportation. All volunteers will be expected to maintain confidentiality and complete a volunteer application. Depending on the expected frequency of visits, an in-person training and paperwork may need to be completed prior to volunteering.

The impacts of COVID-19 prevented many activities and volunteers from working directly with our individuals over the past few years, and The Society is looking forward to inviting volunteers to work with our individuals and staff once again. Whether you are an individual looking to share your time, expertise, and cooking skills with us once or twice throughout the year, or a group interested in creating meals with us on a regular basis, we would love to have you here with us.
