Did you have a relatable role model in high school who motivated you? Or do you remember wishing you had one?
Now, you can be that role model. During Motivational March (March 24-28), join the PLUS ME Project as a volunteer panelist to inspire high school students in Los Angeles by sharing your story and raising $100 to support our mission.
As a volunteer panelist, you will:
- Choose a virtual volunteer onboarding to attend in the month of February.
- Choose a virtual panel practice to attend in the month of March.
- Share your story to inspire students who need to hear it in person during the week of March 24th to the 28th. (You will share on one day during one class.)
- Optional: Raise $100 to support our mission of building self-confidence through storytelling.
- Connect with fellow volunteers and join the PLUS ME community.
- We’ll guide you every step of the way-from preparing your story to meeting your fundraising goals. Together, we’ll motivate students to believe in themselves and their future.
Express interest in this opportunity and you will then be emailed with a link to sign up for this opportunity. You will not be signed up for this volunteer opportunity if you don't formally sign up with PLUS ME.

Description
Since our founding in 2013, PLUS ME has impacted over 150,000 middle and high school students from over 350 low-income schools across the LA area. We provide guest speaker presentations, storytelling workshops, writing workshops, and professional development programs for students, educators, and parents-all developed with guidance from experienced educators. We also offer two $1,000 scholarship opportunities (My Story Matters: LISTEN; My Story Matters: IMPACT). There are five awardees for each scholarship, meaning we provide a total of 10, $1,000 awards each year. Both require applicants to submit a 1500 word personal narrative which is read and scored by PLUS ME staff and volunteers.
