V olunteers are needed at the Mathew's Arm Campground in the northern section of Shenandoah National Park in 2025. This a great volunteer position for those who enjoy RV travel, helping others recreate responsibly, and being near miles of trails, waterfalls, and mountains.
Campground hosts will assist park staff in array of tasks. They will verify campers' registrations, serve as an extra set of eyes and ears in the campground, and make basic educational contacts with visitors. Hosts will work with other park staff as a team to create a safe, respectful, and inviting atmosphere.
Mathew's Arm Campground will be open from early May to early November. Hosts will need to commit to serving 32 hours a week for 4-8 weeks. An RV pad with full hook ups is available.
