Anchor Health is currently seeking Volunteers in the Temecula, California area to donate fidget blankets for our patients with dementia.
Dementia blankets are soft and comfortable, with different textures, buttons and lace to keep patients' hands busy. The fidget blankets provide cognitive stimulation to help mitigate boredom and prevent patients from interfering with medical devices, and is part of providing compassionate care for out patients.
This is a meaningful and beautiful opportunity to provide service and to help bring smiles and happiness to people's lives.
How do you get started?
Let us know you're interested, and our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you! You may receive an orientation to hospice concepts as well as training for your patient visits and/or administrative help, and you will be well-supported and greatly appreciated by patients, their families, and the entire Anchor Health Hospice team.
If you're interested, we also have opportunities for you to visit in person with patiens to provide them with companionship or to volutneer remotely from home (computer and phone needed).

Description
Volunteer Services : Trained volunteers provide support by giving personal health in a companionship and service role. They provide companionship for patients and respite for family members and other health givers, run errands, prepare meals and spend time listening and sharing with the patient and/or family.
