Mission Statement
Redefining the hospice journey into one that families are proud to tell for generations to come.
Description
Uplift Hospice is family-owned and operated by a Mother-and-Son team - Jennifer Lawrie and Owen Lawrie. Jennifer is a Registered Nurse who has worked in hospice for over 10 years. Owen’s background is in business and finance. We feel that having both the clinical and business expertise in the ownership team is critical to being an impactful community partner. Jennifer and Owen feel strongly that company culture and employee satisfaction is far too often neglected and forgotten in healthcare more broadly, but especially in hospice. Therefore, every decision Uplift makes is rooted in making sure our employees are happy, excited, and energetic about who they’re working for and what they’re doing every day. This allows our community assurance that we are able to recruit and retain the most talented clinical and administrative staff in the industry. This results in consistency in the clinical team assigned to facilities and patients, seamless interactions for facility staff, patients, and their families, and the overall highest quality of hospice care. We are always overstaffed on the clinical side as quality of care comes first in everything we do. Our response times are second-to-none, our clinical team is highly experienced in hospice, and our community liaisons make the patient and family experience seamless and comforting by following from the hospital to the home and every step in-between.
