As an Entry-Level Medical Intern, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our organisation. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Day-to-Day Administration: Assist with general office duties, manage calendars, and ensure smooth operations.- Database Management: Organize and update medical research files, ensuring all data is accurately maintained.- Data Entry: Help manage our social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts, as well as entering important information into our database.- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a dedicated team focused on providing support to parents, raising awareness about key medical issues through leaflet distribution, and assisting with fundraising applications.

You will help with a wide range of tasks, from administrative duties to supporting our outreach efforts. This includes everything from maintaining our database to helping manage social media posts, and working with the team to distribute informational materials and prepare fundraising applications.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that our operations run smoothly and that our outreach efforts are effectively managed. Success will be measured by the accuracy of the data maintained, the efficiency of our day-to-day operations, and the impact of our awareness campaigns.

You will work closely with a passionate and supportive team, including medical professionals, administrative staff, and other volunteers. You will also interact with parents and community members as part of our outreach initiatives.

There is flexibility in this role. While we have outlined specific tasks, we are open to adjusting responsibilities based on your skills, interests, and strengths. If you have ideas on how you can contribute in other ways, we’re happy to discuss them.

Our mission is to save lives by promoting prompt diagnosis and raising awareness of the classic symptoms of Kawasaki disease. Kawasaki disease is the leading cause of paediatric heart conditions in the developing world. The fund aims to raise money and awareness about Kawasaki disease, which mainly affects children younger than five years old.

Description

We aim to spread knowledge of Kawasaki disease through creative campaigns and events, collaborating with potential sponsors in all sectors who will help utilise extensive charity workspace in Essex and London. We regularly hold fashion charity events, where people can take part as either the models or as the photographer. As well as dressmaking classes lead by our founder Dee Izmail, who has designed outfits for a range of different celebrities including the Spice Girls.
