Campground Host Chippewa National Forest
ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

The Chippewa National Forest is outreaching for several Campground Host opportunities for the 2025 camping season. Many of our camp hosts return year after year and enjoy summers making memories in the Northwoods on the lakes here. Most host positions begin in early May and continue through Labor Day. Hosts receive a prime site in the campground and perform light duty tasks such as posting reservations, cleaning restrooms, and helping campers feel welcome. There is plenty of time for relaxing, fishing, and enjoying the campfire. Forest personnel develop relationships with hosts and provide all support needed. Hosts also receive clothing, supplies, and a monthly re-imbursement for their service.
Campgrounds currently with vacancies include: Norway Beach, West Winnie, and Bimijiwan. Some of these campgrounds have full hook-ups. Others are more primitive.
If you are interested or have questions about these opportunities, please contact Michelle Heiker at: Michelle.heiker@usda.gov..
