Location:

5662 CALLE REAL #105, GOLETA, CA 93117, US

Mission Statement

The mission of the National Service Animals Memorial, Inc. is to create a beautiful and moving national memorial in the nation’s Capital to educate, inspire, and honor the work, contributions, and sacrifices of service animals and their handlers throughout U.S. history, and to celebrate the human-animal bond.

Description

We received Congressional authorization in a bill signed by President Biden in 2023 to build this first of its kind Memorial in the nation's Capital. We are now in the site-selection phase, and as with all National Memorials in DC, we must raise all the necessary funds ti build it. We have an Annual Purple Poppy Awards event in September and other fundraising activities throughout the year. such as our first Walk for Animals that will be on May 10, 2025 nationally. We have a bi-monthly newsletter as well. We have won a national Award from the Pet Advocacy Network and our founder has also been awarded a national award from The Kennel Club of Philadelphia. We have an NSAM Education Program on our website for parents, teacher and others.
