About Us:
The Mirror Effects is a fiscally sponsored nonprofit dedicated to increasing civic engagement and legal education. Our mission is to empower communities by providing accessible legal knowledge, particularly for marginalized groups, immigrants, and youth.

Position: Legal Curriculum Team Member (Volunteer, Unpaid)

Role Overview:
We are looking for passionate individuals-especially students-who are eager to help develop educational materials that make the law more accessible. People of all ages are welcome to apply! As a Legal Curriculum Team Member, you will play a key role in building resources that educate different communities about their rights.

Responsibilities:

• Research and develop legal education curricula tailored to different age groups and communities.
• Create engaging and accessible legal resources, including lesson plans, presentations, and written guides.
• Assist in designing a "Know Your Rights" resource, with a focus on immigrant communities and underserved populations.
• Potentially facilitate or support teaching sessions, workshops, or webinars.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure content accuracy and clarity.
• Stay updated on relevant legal topics to ensure materials are current and impactful.

Qualifications:

• Students and individuals of all ages are encouraged to apply!
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Interest in law, education, or policy.
• Experience with curriculum development or teaching is a plus but not required.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in an accessible way.
• Passion for community education and advocacy.
