Are you passionate about mental health advocacy and making a meaningful impact? The Global Mental Health Alliance (Lorelei Molinari Home of Mental Health Info & Support Groups) is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Board Member with expertise in Web Development. As our Web Developer Board Member, you will help maintain and enhance our online presence, ensuring that individuals seeking mental health resources can easily find and access the support they need. This position is strictly remote and suitable for senior students.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend one-hour monthly board meetings via Zoom.
Dedicate approximately 19 monthly working hours to miscellaneous web development-related tasks.
Manage, update, and optimize our WordPress-based website for usability and accessibility.
Create engaging and resourceful digital experiences aligned with our brand voice.
Implement security measures and troubleshoot technical issues.
Collaborate with our team to integrate tools and content that improve user engagement.
QUALLIFICATIONS:
Proven experience in WordPress development, UX/UI design, and website management.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SEO best practices.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG) and a commitment to digital inclusivity.
Experience integrating third-party tools, CRMs, and analytics to optimize user engagement.
Passion for mental health advocacy and a dedication to creating a welcoming online space.
Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven, volunteer-led organization.
