2025 Back to School Community Fair!!!!

Please spread the word about this event with your friends, family, staff, and colleagues.

Ignite Arts & STEM, The AMAAD Institute, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are putting together a back to school community fair on Saturday, July 26, 2025. This years event promises to be even BIGGER than last year's event!!

We will be providing resources, screenings, school supplies and groceries to students and families in the Greater Los Angeles communities. You are invited to participate. Spread the word to youth/families you know that can and will attend. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. While supplies last.

We need your help:

Shift 1: Supply Distribution & Event Setup
Start Time: 9:00 am - End Time: 12:00 pm
  • Unload supplies
  • Volunteer food & snack station setup
  • Water station setup
  • Guest check-in table setup
  • Supply distribution setup
  • Assist with volunteer food & snacks service/distribution
  • Man the water station
  • Man the guest check-in table
  • Supply distribution
Shift 2: Supply Distribution & Event Breakdown
Start Time: 12:00 pm - End Time: 3:00 pm
  • Assist with volunteer food & snacks service/distribution
  • Man the water station
  • Man the guest check-in table
  • Supply distribution
  • Pack and load supplies
  • Volunteer food & snack station breakdown
  • Water station breakdown

Breakfast & lunch provided.

Volunteer Attire
Volunteers are asked to wear blue shirts (preferably dark or royal blue) to help distinguish them from other personnel onsite. You will be issued a volunteer badge to help make it easy to identify volunteer personnel. Wear comfortable jeans or slacks. All attire must be clean and pressed, and comfortable shoes with closed toes are required. No midriffs or underwear may be showing either at the waist of the garment or through the garment material, and deep necklines are not permitted. Tattoos are permitted.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is a welcoming ELCA community dedicated to worship, learning, youth ministry and service. Holy Trinity also operates a Child Care Center, providing nurturing care and early childhood education in a safe, stimulating, faith-based environment for infants through preschoolers. REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
  • Must be at least 16
  • 3 hours minimally (each shift is 3 hours)
  • Please do not volunteer if you do not intend to honor your commitment. It is not fair for our volunteers and organizers.
