ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

Lake Sherwood Recreation Area offers a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere with over 100 family sites within the campground for tents, trailers and RVs in three loops, and tent only camping in an additional loop as well as a group campground. The area offers two swimming beaches, 20 miles of trails for hiking and biking, a picnic shelter and individual picnic sites, warmwater fishing onsite and cold-water fisheries close by, boating, and wildlife viewing areas throughout the recreation area, all based around the 165-acre Lake Sherwood. Located twenty-five minutes north of White Sulphur Springs, and Interstate 64 and only 40 minutes from Lewisburg, WV, named America's Coolest Small town which is home to the West Virginia State Fair. Electric and water hookups are available at camp host sites and an RV dump station is available for camp hosts. There are also free laundry facilities onsite for campground hosts! A stipend is provided in return of services. Cell service is spotty, and a booster is recommended for gaining a clear signal.


Hosts should be at the campground 6 days per week, including weekends and holidays

Hosts may be called upon 24 hours a day

Days off will be scheduled for weekdays, usually Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday
